Another amazing engraving from 1855 Paradise Lost
French edition
This time the artist is not Flatters but Richomme.
Richomme may be the famous Theodore Richomme, who was no less than engraver to the King, or it may be his son, also a very reputable artist.
At any rate, when the book was published, the name Richomme was one of the most famous around in the field of engraving.
The piece is a breathtaking representation of Eve in Paradise.
The title is "Eve se mirant dans l'eau". Eve looking at herself in the water.
